A great little idea to stop your bar of soap escaping into the sink.

You will need a ball of string and a pair of size 4 knitting needles.

Start by casting on 18 stitches.

The pattern I used is lace stitch.

Knit 15 rows of stitches, then cast off. Use a large darning needle to finish the mat.

Here's a little video of how to do lace stitch.

I use my mats for Faith in Nature and Friendly Soap products :-

These little string bags make a great home for my shampoo bar and even garlic bulbs.
